Terms of Service

1. These terms

These terms govern your use of the Síob website (the “Site”), operated by Síob Ltd, company no.NI741880. By using the Site or joining the waitlist you accept these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

2. The waitlist

The Site currently promotes a forthcoming carpooling service and lets you register interest. Joining the waitlist does not create any account, contract to provide the service, or guarantee of access, pricing or launch date. We may change or withdraw the proposed service at any time.

3. Acceptable use

• Use the Site only for lawful purposes and don’t misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or disrupt it.

• Provide accurate information when you sign up, and don’t submit anyone else’s details without permission.

4. Intellectual property

The Site and all its content — including the Síob name, logo, text, graphics, product and design — are owned by or licensed to Síob Ltd and protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse them without our written permission.

5. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party sites (for example social media). Síob is not responsible for their content or practices.

6. No warranty

The Site is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and information on it is for general information only.

7. Our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

8. Privacy

Our use of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, which form part of these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the version posted here applies to your use of the Site.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. Contact: Peadar@Síob.com

Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Síob Ltd (“Síob”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in the Northern Ireland under number NI741880. For any privacy question, contact us at Peadar@Síob.com.

2. What we collect

When you join our waitlist or contact us, we collect:

• Your email address (required to join the waitlist).

• Basic technical and usage data (e.g. device type, pages viewed) collected via cookies — see the Cookies Policy.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To add you to the waitlist and tell you when Síob launches — based on your consent.

• To understand and improve the website — legitimate interests, using cookies where you allow them.

You can withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us.

4. Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who act on our instructions, which may include: our website/waitlist platform (Squarespace) and our email provider (Google). We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required by law.

5. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum.

6. How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details until Síob launches and you become an app user, or until you ask us to remove you or unsubscribe — whichever is first — after which we delete or anonymise them.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email Peadar@Síob.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk

8. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the current version here with a new “last updated” date.

Cookies Policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your choices, and — if you allow it — help us understand how the site is used. Some similar technologies (pixels, local storage) work the same way and are covered here too.

2. How we use them

On this waitlist site we aim to keep cookies to a minimum. We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work and keep it secure. Where enabled, we use analytics cookies to count visits and improve the site, and we only set non-essential cookies with your consent via our cookie banner.

3. Managing your choices

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies using the banner, and change your mind at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the site may not work as well.
